One floor system, done properly

We install one thing and do it well: a full-flake floor with a clear polyaspartic topcoat, ground, repaired and bonded into the concrete. You choose the blend.

Full-flake floor coating

Textured, forgiving with dust and dirt, and tough enough for hot tires and heavy use. Most garages are done in a day.

Crack repair and prep

Included with every floor. Cracks, pitting and old coatings are handled before anything goes down, because prep is what decides how long a floor lasts.

Torginol Flake sample deck

Choose from 36 Torginol blends

Every full-flake floor we install uses Torginol vinyl flake, and every blend in the Torginol Flake sample deck is available. Tap a blend to see it on a floor.

Screen colors are approximations built from each blend's published chip mix. We bring the physical Torginol sample deck to every estimate so you can choose in your own garage light. The deck also shows Gracious in three chip sizes (1/4", 1/8" and 1/16") so you can compare scale.

How a flake floor goes in

One day, start to finish, for most two- and three-car garages.

  1. Inspect and measure

We check the slab for cracks, old coatings, sealers and moisture, measure it, and give you a written quote.

  2. Diamond grind

The whole floor is ground with dust-controlled equipment to open the concrete so the coating bonds into it, not onto it.

  3. Repair

Cracks are cut and filled, pits and spalled spots are patched, and everything is ground flush.

  4. Base coat and flake

A penetrating base coat goes down, then vinyl flake is broadcast edge to edge until no base color shows.

  5. Scrape and topcoat

Loose chips are scraped and vacuumed, then a clear polyaspartic topcoat seals and hardens the surface.

  6. Walkthrough

We walk the finished floor with you, go over cure times and care, and hand over your written warranty.

Why North Texas garages need more than paint

Garage floors here deal with three things at once: heat, moving clay soil and hot tires. In July an unconditioned garage can pass 100°F. Tires coming off a hot highway soften weak coatings and pull them up. And the expansive clay under most DFW slabs means hairline cracks are normal.

That's why one-part epoxy paint and roll-on kits tend to peel within a year or two here. They sit on top of smooth concrete instead of bonding into it, and most epoxy topcoats yellow when the garage door is open to the sun.

Our approach is built around those conditions. Every floor is diamond ground so the base coat soaks into the concrete. Cracks are repaired first. And the topcoat is polyaspartic, which handles hot tires and stays clear in UV light. Read how epoxy and polyaspartic compare.

Common questions

How long does a garage floor coating take?

Most standard two- and three-car garages with our full-flake system are done in one day. You can typically walk on the floor that evening and park on it after about 48 hours.

How much does a garage floor coating cost?

Our full-flake floor is $5.50 per square foot, compared with a typical retail price of $6.75. For a typical three-car garage of 600 to 750 square feet, that's about $3,300 to $4,125. The free estimate gives you an exact written price.

Is it epoxy or polyaspartic?

Our full-flake system uses a penetrating base coat bonded into diamond-ground concrete, a full broadcast of vinyl flake, and a clear polyaspartic topcoat. Polyaspartic holds up to hot tires and won't yellow in sunlight the way many epoxy topcoats do.

Will it peel from hot tires?

Hot-tire peeling happens when a coating sits on top of poorly prepared concrete. We diamond grind every floor so the base coat bonds into the slab, and our work carries a 10-year written warranty against peeling and delamination.

Do you fix cracks first?

Yes. Cracks are cut open, filled with a repair compound and ground flush before coating. Note that North Texas slabs can keep moving, so a crack caused by ongoing foundation movement may show again over time.
